If you want to use it, just fav it or add it to any collection :3

Well, I was thinking about my latest stamp ([link]) and I thought about this one xD seriously, I really prefer real critiques than just praises.

As I said, I don't care if the stamp is simple :) that's not the point

It is mostly true. I hate flattery, so I'm putting this in my profile. As for critiques, they need to be polite and specific. They shouldn't be personal attacks.

:iconpolandplz: Pfff, depending on what type of critique you run into some of them won't help you get better because they have no problem insulting you when you've done nothing wrong. Usually I have to block them because they call themselves trying make me better when really they keep throwing insults at me. So really as far as I'm concern most critiques are the asses on the world. And seeing the words on this stamp seems to be close to a lie to me.

Indeed! I sometimes wished that when I was younger people gave me harsher critiques because it took me a while to figure out what my flaws in my art were since most people would just compliment it. Anyway, thank you for making this!

I also find this debatable. Encouraging somebody to become better requires a bit of psychology. Some thrive on negative reinforcement, some thrive on positive reinforcement, and most fall somewhere in between.

Praise works for me, but only if it comes from certain people.
When strangers tell me that they like my art, I'm glad I did something that brought a bit of happiness to somebody and I may see if I can do it again. Critique from strangers to me means that I have offended somebody and should keep that kind of art private.
When somebody close to me says they like my art, it makes me want to research and study more than I already do. Critique from an artist I respect and purposely ask for help from will also trigger research because then I become curious as to why they're right. (Offbeat example, "that kind of rock needs more speckles to look realistic". Why? Very fine grains that reflect sunlight more so than the other material in the rock.)

Well your comment is a great example of the same thing your saying. Anyway, I made this mostly about that kind of people who only make or look for "ohhh it's so beautiful" on every single posted deviation, obviously I can't completely reflect that in a simple stamp, just because the lack of space on them, but thanks for your comment indeed, it's a very constructive and interesting way to see it :)

True that. If you put the whole message on there, that would be quite a few frames.

I think this is debatable. Objectively speaking, you're right, as critique has more content. But then you have people who claim to have made a "critique" when they just give a useless negative comment. I've got comments of the sort "this is really lacking something" (really), and seen comments that say "I could critique this SO bad" (and they don't, guh, i've seen this more than once). Many people consider that saying that is useful, while i just think is trying to put down the artist.

While flattery, as it might not say much of either the artwork or the viewer, tells the artist that someone, regardless their instruction, is giving attention to what thy're doing, and just might push forward their perhaps hasitant will to continue trying.
